Why does Paymi need my credit or debit card username and password?

We need your credit or debit card login and password to automatically provide you with cash rewards, as you shop. We require these details just once so we can establish a secure connection with your financial institution. These details allow us to retrieve your transaction history, and match purchases that are eligible for cash rewards, as indicated by offers that are noted as being Card Linked.

Simply use your current credit or debit card with our featured merchants, or shop through our online marketplace, and we will credit your Paymi account with cash rewards. No new cards, coupons or codes are required to participate.

What data do you access and how do you keep it safe?

Your data is provided to us by Yodlee, a global leader in banking technology with over 30 million users worldwide. When you enter your bank account login details Yodlee communicates with your bank and exports your transactional data. Yodlee delivers us your transactional data omitting any account or credit card numbers, so we can match transactions that are eligible for cash rewards.

Once entered, any login and financial institution details you give us are immediately encrypted and stored (in encrypted form) by Yodlee in a separate database using multi-layered hardware and software encryption. This is the same technology used by banks and audited and accredited by the US Government.

Paymi uses a read-only connection to link to the credit or debit card(s) accounts that you tie to the program. This means that nobody can use Paymi to move money out of your bank account even if they had access to your Paymi account.

Are merchants provided with my credit or debit card username and password?

Paymi anonymizes your data and merchants will not know who they are sending offers to or who made a relevant purchase. All offers come from us and you will never receive Paymi offers directly from a merchant.

What if my mobile device is lost or stolen?

Paymi is not a transactional service like a bank. It is a service that gives you offers by matching deals offered by our merchants with your transactions. No one (not even you) can move or remove money from your financial accounts via Paymi.

If your mobile device is lost or stolen, you can change your password, or deactivate your account.

To deactivate your account, go to https://app.paymi.com, click SIGN IN, log in to your account, and go to My Account > Settings. Under Cancel My Account, click Deactivate.

How should I protect my Paymi details and account?

Take the same precautions to protect your Paymi account as you would for any accounts with your personal financial information. We recommend that you:

Use a complex password by including numbers, capital letters, and special characters.

Don't write down your Paymi password, or share it with anyone.

Secure your computer. Install virus protection and a firewall on any computer or device you use to access Paymi.

Avoid logging in to Paymi from public computers or when using public wi-fi networks.

Don't install programs from people or companies you don't know.

Be aware of hoax, scam, or phishing attempts. We will never email you to ask you to provide us with sensitive information.

How do I receive my cash from Paymi?

Any time after you receive $2.00 in cash awards Paymi can send you an Interac eTransfer to deposit your cash balance directly into your bank account. You can see all of your awards and collect your cash balance under the Awards section. To begin an Interac eTransfer simply click the Redeem Now button.

Why does it cost $2.00 to redeem my cash from Paymi?

$2.00 is what it costs Paymi to send you an Interac eTransfer, however if you have earned more than $25 we will happily pay this fee for you!
